Direct Support Professional (DSP)

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) training program (conducted in partnership with Castro Valley Adult & Career Education) is designed as an entry level free training program for students to learn how to help people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities live more fulfilling and independent lives.

Program Cost: $0

Course Requirement:

  • Be able to speak one or more Asian-languages.
  • Be able to communicate in English for education and employment purposes.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Have work authorization in the U.S.
  • Have a valid California ID (preferable a drivers' license).
  • Have a High School Diploma, International High School Diploma or equivalent.

Program Length: 7 weeks

Program Format: 7 weeks of online, instructor-led learning
